Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone did exactly what they wanted to today. I did something I I always want to do and something I absolutely never like to do. I spent the day with Bradley until I was forced to see him off to the airport in the evening. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend this long weekend with him and his wonderful family. For that, I am so very thankful.
Some updates:
*School has begun. Already have enough homework to keep me busy all day tomorrow. (Only because there was no way I was doing homework this weekend.)
*I need a dining room table. I’m tired of eating on a love seat.
*I’ve already found a church in town to get involved with. It is a new church plant, only a year or so old, and I am so excited for what God is doing there among the young families. I was able to have coffee with the pastor last week and we sat and chatted about the future and vision of the church, missions, and the gospel for about two hours. I cannot express how thankful I am to have a community to get involved with so soon. God knows I desperately needed that right away, as I left a church family very dear to my heart at First Pres.
*Brad and I went to the Farmer’s market this Saturday. This will become a weekly occurrence for me. It makes me want to create something to sell there, whether it be something sewn or knitted or grown. Hopefully, by the end of next summer, Brad’s Dad and I will be successful enough in beekeeping to sell some honey. That’d be a dream come true.
*I found a few white hairs on my head. I am graying at 21… so that’s awesome. It would be fine, except I feel as if I do not have the amount of wisdom one is supposed to be graced with when graying. I’ll talk to God about that. Anyone else graying?
Again, hope everyone had a wonderfully simple weekend. Thank you for the lovely messages I finally got around to checking tonight. It makes me even more excited to start regularly blogging again. :)
